Tax Credit Incentive Program PIN's goal is to improve the quality of life in Pemiscot County and is accepting donations for this purpose. County residents may keep Pemiscot County tax dollars in Pemiscot county to create a better life for each resident by participating in the Neighborhood Assistance Tax Credit Incentive Program, which is designed to reduce their Missouri State Tax by 70%. An added value to this program is that residents can use their total donation, including the 70% tax credit amount, as an IRS deduction. In some cases, depending upon the taxable situation, the federal tax deduction plus the Missouri State tax can equal more than the total donation amount. An accountant can advise the donor about the total tax advantages of the program for an individual, corporation or company. The following is a list of eligible donors. BUSINESS ELIGIBILITY IF YOU ARE FILING: Corporations Missouri Form 1120 Sole Proprietorship Federal Form 1040, Schedule F & Missouri Form 1040 Individual reporting income from Federal Form 1040, Schedule E Rental property or royalties & Missouri Form 1040 Small Business Corporation (S Corp) Missouri Form 1120S Partnership Missouri Form 1065 Financial Institutions (Banks, etc.) Missouri financial tax return Insurance Company Missouri Insurance Tax Return w/MO Dept. of Insurance Individual Partner in partnership or Individual shareholder in an s-corp... Limited liability corporation/partnership Missouri Form 1120, 1120S or 1065 What Your Donation Will Be Used For The objective is to reduce the unemployment rate in Pemiscot County by providing a comprehensive program of career education to include career counseling, mentoring services, paid and unpaid work experiences, job shadowing, and assistance in obtaining employment. The performance targets are to increase the number of persons in Pemiscot Country who obtain a high school diploma; obtain a GED certificate; who learn life skills and/or earn certificates for completing training in vocational or educational courses; the number who are placed in jobs and, decrease the number of older (19-25 years of age) participants who are unemployed. Assistance will be provided, as needed, in locating tutors, transportation, and day care. |
